The $$$ Maps

The $$$ Maps

In case anyone missed it, creating your very own money map has been all the rage lately. I really liked the idea so I decided to collect everyone's maps to compare and contrast.

This was a valuable exercise since it taught me a few things about what are and are not common features of the way people manage their money in the FI community. Since I'm in the process of refining my own financial arrangements I thought a post giving an overview of these insights was in order.

What follows is the full chain gang in rough chronological order with any observations of note. Huge props to Apathy Ends and Budget On A Stick for kicking off the chain!

We will then present our own money map and our thoughts in the context of the learnings below in a separate post.

Apathy Ends I like the hub and spokes idea here. Color coding helps for sure.
